Travel Notes

prepare for a student trip

The travel landscape is changing rapidly, offering increasingly more opportunities to explore the world than we’ve seen in almost a year. And we’re ready. But are you?

Have you been waiting to
finalize your group’s travel plans?

Are you hesitant to even start
the travel planning process?

We understand that planning a trip today feels a little different than it did two years ago, but waiting to book your group’s next adventure could mean a more expensive trip or, even worse, no trip at all. Here’s why.

Supply and demand

In 2020 and 2021, we saw nearly 60% of our booked trips be postponed till it was safer and easier to travel. That means, that these groups are all looking to travel in 2022 – many have booked those trips already. This is great news for those booked groups, but that backlog of rescheduled trips presents a challenge for anyone waiting.

We’re expecting our 2022 travel season to be just as busy as any normal travel season, filled with first time travelers and returning clients. But we’ll also be serving our rescheduled trip clients as well, which means there will be fewer available travel slots. There are only so many motorcoaches, flights, hotel rooms, venues and performance opportunities and we’re concerned that there won’t be enough to satisfy the level of demand we’re seeing.

Booking now saves money

With competition already growing for transportation and lodging reservations, we’re anticipating higher prices due to the skyrocketing demand. Right now, prices are low and reservations are accessible – but we’re forecasting that 2022 travel experiences booked after April of this year could be 20-30% more expensive. That kind of price increase could make travel cost prohibitive for some groups, causing them to wait yet another year before they can experience the lasting impact of travel with their students.

Don’t wait – book today!

We’re encouraging our clients to take advantage of the February-March booking window to get a 2022 trip on the calendar. Prices are competitive, there’s still availability for the best dates, flights, rooms and more – but we aren’t sure how long that availability will continue. How can we help answer your questions and take you through the planning process? Curious about our Trip Assurance Program or how we’re handling safety on tour?
