We know many music educators have started remote learning for the first time, and we wanted to find every way we can help! In addition to our new “At-Home Lessons”, we have also partnered with shedthemusic.com to bring you daily lessons. Each week will bring a new theme, so be sure to check back often to see what is happing in the Shed!

Writing Music Using DAW
This week will focus on writing music using a DAW. It will start with an eLearning field trip where students watch Bob from The Shed and Christopher Bill (Classical Trombone) write a song together using Soundtrap. Bob will then break down what is needed to write music using a DAW instrument by instrument: Tuesday- drums, Wednesday- bass, Thursday- chords, Friday- Melody.

One-A-Day Musicianship Challenge // 3.1: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Solfege Fill In The Blank
This week focuses on ear training and singing. The majority of content will be surrounding the concept of solfege fill in the blank videos. One lesson will be released each day at various difficulty levels.
Major Scale Mastery Series: Part 2
The first week consisted of building an understanding about how to
spell major scales using the circle of fourths. The second week will
contain five challenges that are designed to work on students’ recall
of the major scales. After week two, students will be able to recite
their major scales and identify target scale degrees.
