Summertime – and summer dreams!
Travel Notes

This summer is different, there’s no doubt about that.
Though all of our plans that may have changed, there are still so many things to enjoy this summer – and even more exciting things to dream about for next summer.
This summer!
Great reads
Whether you’re on a beach or your own front porch, summer is a time for reading. Cold beverage in hand, you may find us reading books about music or travel, a well-worn classic or a juicy page-turner. Go ahead, judge a book by its cover and pick something that looks awesome.
Nature next door
If your summer plans included a vacation or a road trip, chances are you’re sitting those out. But regardless of where you live, there’s sure to be nature to explore right in your own backyard. Explore the parks, trails and history or your neck of the woods – be a socially distant tourist in your own town! Staying close to home may open your eyes to some parts of your area you didn’t know existed.
The arts…at home
We can’t wait to get back to Broadway and all of the other musical destinations we love, but if there’s one COVID consolation it’s that so much performance art is now available online. You may already be gearing up for the streaming performance of Hamilton (we know we are!), but there are so many musicals and concerts you can now experience from home.
Daydreaming
Because it’s always a good time for travel daydreams…
Next summer!
We’re definitely dreaming of all the possibilities that next summer holds – especially TRAVEL! While it’s true that great planning makes travel possible any time of year, there are some destinations that are just made for summer travel:
Chicago – Our home sweet home is an ideal destination for students in the summer – a simple bus ride away from so many regions with a vibrant arts scene and attractions that students love. We try to contain our Windy City excitement in this blog post.
Toronto – Just international enough to feel like a world away, Toronto is lovely in the summer (and spring and fall!). Picture perfect venues and hip city vibes, no passport required for students.
New York – Summer in the City! Many of our clients chose New York for their spring and fall trips, but Manhattan is fantastic in the summertime. Wander through Central Park with an ice cream and see if you don’t agree.
Washington, D.C. – Another popular spring and fall destination that deserves just as much summer love. Museums, monuments and music, oh my!
Europe – We’ve worked with clients planning experiences across Europe and find that summer trips across the pond are some of the best. The weather is wonderful and students are ready for summer adventures.
Now is the perfect time to put those travel daydreams into action and explore all the possibilities that next summer and beyond can hold. Our team is ready to walk you through the destinations, safety guidance and worry-free planning options we offer, including our BRT Trip Assurance Program that gives our clients much needed peace of mind.
