Veteran music educator, award-winning director, world traveler, author and former BRT client, Ben Spalding brings a lifetime of performance travel experience to our team. As choral director at Centerville High School, Ben directed all five of the school’s choirs, including the award-winning a cappella ensemble, Forte. For years, he traveled the world with his students and trusted BRT to take the pressures of travel planning off his plate, so he could focus on making incredible music on tour. He’s thrilled to serve his educator peers across the country in the same way, creating opportunities to immerse students in new cultures and new experiences.

My favorite travel memory
One of my favorite travel memories was when I traveled to New York City with the choirs while I was a student at the University of Kentucky. This was my first experience in New York, and it was nothing short of amazing. We performed at Carnegie Hall and it was the first incredible venue in New York City that I was able to perform in. I will never forget that moment. Another moment that sticks out was when we had a day off from performing in the city and I woke up at the crack of dawn and stood in line to get tickets to opening weekend of the musical, The Producers. I was able to get tickets and see Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane during opening weekend!
My hobbies and pastimes
My favorite hobbies and pastimes are traveling with my family and attending various music and sports events. This past summer, my wife and two daughters and I traveled out west in an RV. It was a trip that we will remember forever. I also enjoy playing golf when I have the time.
My favorite destination
My favorite destination to travel is Florida. With Disney, the beach, and warm weather it doesn’t get much better for a family.
