For over sixteen years, David integrated performance travel into his band programs, leading his student ensembles in prestigious events, including the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, London New Year’s Day Parade, BOA Grand National Championships, WGI World Championships, and more. He deeply understands how travel transforms student performers and is delighted to collaborate with his fellow educators to bring their performance travel dreams to life. David is eager to share his personal travel experiences and the wisdom he’s gained from traveling with large student groups and navigating high-level performance opportunities. But most of all, he’s excited to create the kinds of life-changing travel experiences he loved with his own students.

My favorite travel memory
My favorite travel memory is participating in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. I loved having the opportunity to explore New York City, attend the Christmas Spectacular, and perform in Herald Square. It was an unforgettable experience that combined performance at the highest level with the excitement of being part of such an iconic event.
My hobbies and pastimes
I enjoy writing drill and creating visual design and program coordination for marching bands and indoor performance groups. I also love playing my euphonium whenever I get the chance. Outside of music, I value spending time with my wife and daughter, especially going on walks together and doing creative projects around the house.
My favorite destination
My favorite travel destination is England, particularly Manchester. I’m drawn to the culture, the deep passion for soccer, especially Manchester United, and even the weather. It’s a place that feels both energetic and welcoming, and I always enjoy my time there.

I have yet to have a less than stellar experience when working with BRT. Any small issue that may arise is always taken care of quickly and the stress is taken off the directors and the chaperones. It's truly a first-class experience and I end every trip excited for the next.
