Meet Filip
A world traveler and experienced vocalist, Filip understands how impactful international performance travel can be. He joins our Ambassadors of Music team, working closely with our international vendors and partners to make every group’s experience a life-changing one. His own performance tour experiences in high school, college and beyond inspire him to create meaningful opportunities for young musicians that have the power to transform worldviews and changes lives.

My favorite travel memory
A choir I was touring Slovakia with had the opportunity to jointly perform a song with a rural folk ensemble. If you’ve heard the folk singing of many Slavic cultures, you’ll know that a dozen village singers can sound twice as loud as a choir of fifty trained vocalists. Many of us – myself included — were choked up and unable to sing as we were surrounded by the beautiful, ancient sound that came straight from the heart.
My hobbies and pastimes
I love teaching my cat, Rameau, new tricks. He’s great at hopping through hoops and spinning. Aside from that, I enjoy singing both chorally and as a soloist, especially if it’s baroque music!
My favorite destination
I cherish any time I can travel to Vienna, Austria. I speak German, studied abroad there in college, and returned to rural Austria for a year to teach English. It’s no joke that classical music permeates everything in Vienna, and there’s really no city that compares.
I have yet to have a less than stellar experience when working with BRT. Any small issue that may arise is always taken care of quickly and the stress is taken off the directors and the chaperones. It's truly a first-class experience and I end every trip excited for the next.
