Meet Kimberly
From her days in high school show choir, to her collegiate studies in musical theatre to performing Greek theater throughout Greece – Kimberly simply loves performance travel. Travel of all kinds, really, as she’s traveled extensively throughout Europe, South America and the Caribbean. She sees her role at BRT as the perfect intersection of her passion for travel and her desire to see the arts elevated in schools. Knowing how impactful performance travel can be for students – especially for students who may be leaving home for the first time – Kimberly can’t wait to empower talented students as they share their music with the world.

My favorite travel memory
One of the most impactful travel memories I have was during our time in Morocco. My husband and I were staying in a small town called Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains. I will never forget sitting on the rooftop at night, surrounded by darkness and hearing the call to prayer for the first time echoing for miles amongst all the little towns. It was one of the most incredible experiences I have ever had, and it also made me realize at that moment how truly far from home I was.
My hobbies and pastimes
I love to cook and, coincidently, eat! I love listening to music, reading, crafting, reworking old furniture, watching Blackhawks hockey and playing baseball with my son in the backyard.
My favorite travel destination
There are so many to choose from! My favorite though will always be Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic – we spent about two months exploring the country and wound up in this particular town for an entire month. The kindness and generosity of the people, gorgeous landscape, lasting friendships made, fantastic Czech food and of course the amazing BEER will forever make this my favorite destination.
I have yet to have a less than stellar experience when working with BRT. Any small issue that may arise is always taken care of quickly and the stress is taken off the directors and the chaperones. It's truly a first-class experience and I end every trip excited for the next.
