Meet Matthew
Matthew is finally an official member of our team! A longtime strategy and marketing consultant for BRT, he’s helped us communicate everything that makes our business special through laser-focused messaging and branding. As a child of two educators, he instantly connected with our vision to create life-changing experiences for music educators and their students. Matthew loves the non-stop problem solving that great marketing strategy requires – it’s like a puzzle for his brain that he’s always excited to tackle.

My favorite travel memory
In 2016, my fiancé and I went to New Orleans for the world’s smallest, most hassle-free destination wedding (our own). After four days of celebrating, we were married on a Monday afternoon at the French Quarter Wedding Chapel. I’d take that trip again.
My hobbies and pastimes
I’m a bit of a music junkie – the number of bands I’ve seen live is well into the thousands, and I have over 60,000 songs in my iTunes. Though I’m not performing anymore, I’m a graduate of the Second City Training Center for improvisation. I travel whenever I can. And I’m usually reading at least three books at a time. (Book recommendations are always welcome!)
My favorite destination
My favorite city to visit is Copenhagen. It’s a clean and orderly city – everyone plays by the rules – and the people are friendly without being over the top. There’s plenty of green space and water, and it’s very walkable. If you’re a fan of architecture, art, design, or food and drink, you’ll find lots to like.
