Meet Melony

Who better to plan amazing travel experiences than a former BRT student traveler? Melony performed in school bands for seven years and had the opportunity to experience two BRT trips during her high school years, so she knows exactly what directors and their students are looking for when it comes to great travel. She loves the exciting challenges that come from managing our team’s constantly evolving sales database – she’s our resident expert!

My favorite travel memory

My favorite travel memory was the trip my husband and I got engaged on. We were in Japan visiting a shrine called Fushimi Inari, which has thousands of tori gates lined up one after another. It feels like you are walking through a tunnel. The shrine is built on a mountain and you can walk to the top. Most people go about half way up and then turn around as the tori gates start to thin out after that. Robb, my husband decided we needed to go all the way to the top. We made it to the top pretty quickly despite the fact how warm it was and my requests to slow down. Once we got to the top I quickly figured out why we were in a rush. We were then able to celebrate our engagement for the rest of the trip.

My hobbies and pastimes

My husband and I love to travel. It is pretty common for us leave after work on Friday and fly somewhere (usually domestically) and be back to work on Monday. Taking short trips allows us to see so many different cities and places and allows us to get away without the stress of planning and making arrangements for being out of town for a long time. We also don’t feel bad about eating our way through the city.

My favorite destination

Japan is my favorite country to visit because it is a unique blend of an extremely high tech society with deeply rooted customs. The parks located in and around large cities are immaculate and unlike anything you will ever see in any other country. Japanese people are always willing to help you and are extremely polite even on the subway and other crowded places making it one of the safest countries to travel to. It is also where my husband and I got engaged.

The personal touches that BRT provides. Your company gets to know the people they work with. I have never felt like a "number" with BRT.

I appreciated the flexibility Bob Rogers showed us with the billing and various payments we had to make. We thought we were adding more and ended up not but you were great about giving us extra time to work out what we needed to on our end.

BRT is always on top of all details. Even when something has slipped through the cracks, changed, or something unexpected comes up, BRT is flexible enough to make the changes needed to make everything right. We have always been so well taken care of and the personal attention is what makes your company special.

You make the process so easy - step-by-step of what needs to be done, guidance along the way, available (and quick) to respond to questions and making me feel like me and my students are your priority.

The quality of service that you provided us with was second to none. The organization and communication were exceptional and we always felt we were in “the loop” on things both before and during the trip.

BRT hands down has been the absolute best travel company I have worked with in my 18 years in education. My interactions with BRT have always been so much more than just traveling from one destination to another...the focus has always been on people and providing them with experiences of a lifetime.

From the scheduling, to planning, to overseeing, to leading, to customer service, everyone involved was courteous, prompt, and hospitable. Everyone did their jobs well and turned the trip experience into something better than we had anticipated.

Very Organized - even when problems develop. We've gone on enough trips with Bob Rogers to know how BRT operates - always first class, always prepared.
