The Future of Student Travel – We’re ready, are you?
Travel Notes

It’s a new year and our team here at Bob Rogers Travel couldn’t be more excited. We’re ready to look last year in the rear view mirror and hit the road in 2021 (and 2022!). It’s hard to ignore the energy that’s rippling through our team and clients – here’s what’s shaking:
We’re ready to travel
While we weren’t traveling with students in 2020, our team members continued to travel individually throughout the year in order to fully understand the travel landscape around the world. What we found was surprising and encouraging – travel doesn’t really feel any different. This boots-on-the-ground look at travel allowed us to update our best practices to keep student travel seamless. Our first few groups have traveled already, so we’re even more confident in our updated plans.
We’re keeping up with demand – so far
More than 500 groups had trips cancelled last year. We’re working closely with these groups on new dates and destinations to get everyone traveling again – but we’re seeing that space is limited. Our customers aren’t the only ones rescheduling trips, so we’re competing for the best transportation dates, hotel rooms and attraction tickets. Our strong vendor partnerships are giving us access to the very best options, but we know that demand will outpace supply in the coming months as everyone works to get trips back on the calendar.
We’re prepared
While the circumstances of 2020 were unprecedented, shifting gears and re-evaluating policies has always been our strength. We’ve been reviewing our safety best practices every year since our inception, and last year was no exception. In mid-2020, we launched BRT Cares, our latest commitment to travel safety that we developed based on evolving CDC and local health department guidelines. Our health and safety task force will continue to review every itinerary to ensure that student safety is not only prioritized, but also based on the most up to date guidance.
We’re confident – so you can be too
While many of our clients are choosing new dates and getting their students excited about traveling again, we’re also getting a lot of questions – the most common being, what happens if a trip must be cancelled? To help our clients book confidently, we launched our Trip Assurance Program that offers valuable peace of mind – our promise: If your group cancels its trip for reasons beyond its control, we will be your advocate to get you the highest refund possible. It’s simply another way we advocate for our educators and their students.
