Top Apps for Your Student Performance Trip (Part 3 – Domestic Travel)
Travel Notes

This is the final installment in our three-part series highlighting the best apps for student performance travel. Read part one and part two.
In this installment of our series on apps for student performance travel, we look at the best apps for a domestic tour. These apps will help your students capture and remember their trip, keep you in contact with your entire group, and help your group pack and prepare for any kind of weather.
Weather Underground
Weather can change frequently and quickly, but with the free Weather Underground app, you and your students can always be prepared. Thanks to their network of thousands of weather stations, you can know how the weather may differ across town from where you are currently. Their user interface is also one of the cleanest and easiest to use of any weather app. If all this isn’t enough, Weather Underground features the most accurate forecast of any weather company, with data that updates every 2.5 seconds.
Pack Point
Never forget to pack an item again. The free Pack Point app populates a list of what you need to pack based on your destination, length of stay, and activities. You can also add custom items (like uniforms or sheet music) so you have a complete packing list on your smartphone. If you are in need of more packing advice, be sure to check out our recent blog post.
Remind
Remind is a safe way for teachers to stay in contact with students and parents. Originally designed for use in the classroom, Remind works while on tour as well. You can easily contact all of your students at once to remind them of meeting locations and upcoming activities. Best of all, the app will send a standard text message to those who don’t have a smartphone.
MobilyTrip
Your students can easily recall all the amazing times they had on their tour with MobilyTrip. The app automatically records destinations they visit during the day, and gives them the ability to add photos and comments along the way. After their return, they can easily share their “journal” with friends and family, via email and their social networks.
Group Travel Video
If you have added Group Travel Video to your group’s package, be sure to have all of your students download their smartphone app. Students can add photos they take during the trip to the app, which will then be included in the group’s travel video. It’s a great way to capture the memories from your tour for the entire group! If you haven’t added this to your tour, just contact us to learn more.
My Disney Experience
For groups traveling to the Walt Disney World® Resort, the My Disney Experience app is a must have. Through the app you and your students can view wait times, show times, and change Fastpass®+ reservations. The app also includes an interactive map to help everyone in planning their day’s next adventure.
