Travel Notes

prepare for a student trip

It’s busy over here, guys. We shared in our last post that we’re working hard to book both postponed trips from the 2020 and 2021 travel seasons, as well as new trips for new clients. It’s a little crazy, but we’re over the moon excited for our travelers.

The directors we serve are eager to get trips on the calendar for 2022 for many reasons, but the most pressing reason is simply this – to make meaningful memories for their students. After a tough school year where nothing felt normal, these directors are thrilled to reintroduce travel to their programs and give their students something both familiar and exciting to look forward to.

Students can’t wait to travel – so you shouldn’t either.

Despite the challenges of the past school year, students have shown so much strength and resiliency. Adapting to different learning formats, cancelled activities, changes, changes and more changes. But like all of us, they’re ready for “normal” again. And for student performers, normal means traveling. They miss everything about travel – the excitement leading up to departure, time on the road, exploring new places and performing on new stages. They just can’t wait. But if their directors wait till this summer or fall to plan a 2022 travel experience, they may be waiting even longer.

Travel is keeping programs active – and growing.

With so many performance programs put on hold this school year, many directors are finding it hard to keep students engaged until they can meet regularly again. Having a trip on the calendar for the coming school year is giving directors a way to keep students interested in sticking with their music programs – and even helping them recruit new students. When students feel like “normal” is just around the corner, they’re more willing to stay in a program that may be temporarily paused.

Memories can’t wait.

For all the patience students have shown through this difficult school year, they’re well aware that they only have so many years in high school. A missed trip may seem easy to “make up” later, but for students in their later years of high school, that trip opportunity is simply lost. And so is the opportunity to create those lasting memories of traveling with friends, exploring new places and performing on new stages. They’ll make other high school memories of course, but why not ensure that travel is part of their high school experience?

If you’re considering a 2022 performance trip, we’ll do our best to plan an incredible experience for you, regardless of when you choose to start planning. But the reality is, waiting until summer or fall to plan may be too late for the 2022 travel season. Reach out today and we’ll give you all the details on our commitment to safety, our trip assurance program and the latest availability from all the best destinations.
