Meet Kim
Who better to share the excitement of a BRT student travel experience than a former student who actually experienced a BRT trip! As a student musician, Kim had the opportunity to travel with BRT several times and was so inspired by her own music education that she pursued a career as an elementary and middle school band director. After 15 years of working with young musicians, Kim joined our team where she’s thrilled to serve students in a new way, sharing travel and music experiences that may just inspire a new generation of musicians and music educators.

My favorite travel memory
I can’t narrow it down to just one so my top three would have to be: traveling to London and Dublin with the Marching Illini in college, my honeymoon to Hawaii, and our first cross country family road trip to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Rocky Mountain National Parks.
My hobbies and pastimes
I enjoy teaching private trumpet lessons, I’m an active troop leader for both of my daughter’s Girl Scout troops, I enjoy running and Orange Theory, and I’m always planning our next family vacation!
My favorite destination
My family has a bucket list to visit every National Park and State Capitol! This country has such a variety of beautiful landscapes and I can’t wait to experience them all.
I have yet to have a less than stellar experience when working with BRT. Any small issue that may arise is always taken care of quickly and the stress is taken off the directors and the chaperones. It's truly a first-class experience and I end every trip excited for the next.
