Safety
Your group’s safety is our top priority. We consistently review and update our safety protocols, guided by the Center for Student Safety at the Student Youth Travel Association (SYTA).
SYTA has certified us as a Certified Student Travel Organization, a designation awarded to companies that have met or exceeded the minimum of 25 safety standards established by the Center and SYTA. These standards are based on SYTA’s Code of Ethics and reviewed by an objective commission of industry experts.
As part of our commitment to safety:
- A professional, on-site tour director is offered to every group.
- Our on-call staff is available 24/7 to address any on-trip concerns.
- Private, night-time security service is offered to every group.
- All our motor coach partners adhere to strict USDOT standards.
- BRT carries insurance coverage and a consumer protection plan as recommended by the Student & Youth Travel Association.
Security
It’s important to us that your financial investment is secure as well. With the BRT Trip Assurance Program, if your group must cancel its trip, we will go the extra mile to ensure that the highest refund possible goes back to you.
Student group travel typically is planned months or years in advance. It requires significant investments by educators, parents, students and BRT, in both time and money. But sometimes, things change, and a group must cancel its plans.
That’s why every trip we plan includes our Trip Assurance Program, designed to give you the peace of mind that your investment is in good hands.

Paying for travel should be simple. That’s why we built our BRT Payments System to be easy to use for educators, students and their families. Here are a few features you’ll love:
Online Registration
With a dedicated trip page for your group, your students’ families can complete registration in just a few minutes – choosing a trip package, providing emergency details and deciding on insurance, all in one place.
Payment Scheduling
Families can easily pay online and customize their payment preferences in our Stripe-powered platform, which has earned the highest grade of payment processing security.
Trip Donations by BRT Payments
Friends and family can donate to a student’s upcoming trip through our crowd-funding feature, called Trip Donations. It takes just a few minutes for students to share their custom link, and a few safe and secure clicks for people to donate. Students traveling with BRT raised over one million dollars in this feature’s first year, giving more students than ever the opportunity to travel!
Track and Apply Fundraising
Every dollar your group raises through fundraising, booster events and Trip Donations is added and tracked in the platform, making it easy to track your progress and keep families updated.
One-Stop Online Management
Your trip’s details are never more than a few clicks away. Access your trip dashboard to see everything in one place and easily message student families as needed.
