Let’s go! Our Top 10 Attractions!
Travel Notes
When it comes to lists, it’s usually difficult for us to narrow down our travel favorites because who can choose when the world is so big? Today, we’re sticking to the numbers – of all the trips we do each year, these are the most requested attractions in our most popular destinations.
New York City
A year-round favorite, New York City has more attractions than one itinerary could possibly hold. Here are the standouts:
- Broadway
The Broadway experience is such a treat for students. The gorgeous theaters, the sense of anticipation, the spectacle on stage, there’s just nothing like it. Every year, thousands of students experience a Broadway show, and more often than not, the stage performance is only part of it. Many of our clients choose to experience a Broadway clinic with their students, taking the theater experience to a whole new level.
- Times Square
If you don’t have a Times Square selfie to prove you were in New York City, were you ever really there? This iconic destination is a must for Big Apple itineraries. Your students’ faces when they walk into Times Square = priceless.
- Central Park
Fall colors, spring flowers or the sounds of summer – Central Park is picture-perfect in every season. Students can catch a performance or take the stage themselves in this famous outdoor venue.
- 9/11 Memorial and Museum
While your students are too young to have experienced the events of September 11th, the 9/11 Memorial and Museum offer a poignant opportunity for them to catch a glimpse of that day’s meaning for our nation.
- Top of the Rock
A vantage point like no other, the Observation Deck of Rockefeller Center is a student favorite. The Top of the Rock is more than just an incredible view – the tour includes an historical exhibit, architecture information and endless photo opps.
Orlando
For many of the students we travel with, Orlando is farther from home than they ever thought they’d be. We plan hundreds of trips to Orlando every year and here’s why:
- The Walt Disney World Resort®
We’ve been sending student groups to The Walt Disney World Resort® since we opened our doors in 1981. It’s a perennial favorite with directors and students alike, offering incredible performance opportunities – Festival Disney and Thanksgiving Parade of Bands to name a few! Esteemed clinics, gorgeous stages and dawn-to-dusk fun keep many of our clients coming back year after year.
- Universal Studios
We’ve yet to meet a student who doesn’t love a theme park. Universal offers a full day of movie and television themed fun, from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ to The Fast & the Furious.
Chicago
Oh how we love our hometown! Chicago is an easy-to-travel-to destination for so many of our clients and has so much to offer student performers, including:
- The Blue Man Group Chicago
The live performance opportunities in our fair city could rival Broadway – there are so many to choose from! Students love The Blue Man Group with its’ “awkward and awesome” experience, fascinating sounds and crazy instruments.
- Millennium Park
Twenty-five acres of nature, art and architecture make up Millennium Park, our city’s premier green space. Snapping a selfie in front of Cloud Gate(The Bean!) is a must.
- Field Museum
If you take one part perfect performance venue and add two parts world-renowned exhibits, you’d have the Field Museum of Natural History. Home to Sue, the world’s most complete T.Rex, the Field is one of the largest natural history museums in the world.
There you have it! Our top attractions in our top destinations! But don’t think we only visit these big three – we plan student trips from coast to coast and around the world. Need more inspiration?
